At the 2005 Street Rod Nationals at Easter, Lynnda Bouzaid from Capital Rodders scooped the top prizes of Top Ten, Top Hot Rod and Rodders Choice. Congratulations Lynnda!

Plus, the Bouzaid family won best represented family with three hot rods at the nationals.

Lynnda's 1934 Chev Delivery hot rod runs a 350 Chev motor. Since winning Top Ten Street Rod at the 2004 Nationals the Delivery has received a new set of wheels and air bag suspension.

Capital Rodders organised and ran the drag racing event at 2Hot2Handle in Wellington, Easter 2005. The two day event was a huge success and featured demonstration passes by the Warhawk jet powered car from USA.

Capital Rodders has been organising 1/8 mile drags in the Wellington area since 1989. Traditionally featuring V8 hot rods and street machines, but we have opened the events up to "fast4's" to provide a venue for these guys to have legal organised closed road street racing in the Wellington area.

Capital Rodders members have a history of producing some top cars. And Lynnda Bouzaid has kept the tradition going. Lynnda put in a big effort to get her 1934 Chev Delivery hot rod ready for the 2004 nationals, and it hit the street the day before she was due to leave. It was an extra bonus to come home with a Top Ten Street Rod award in recognition of all of her hard work. Well done!

Now she just can't wait to get her fancy new wheels on it.
